Terms of use

WishWhip makes small apps from what you describe and puts them on the web. You can use it free, or pay each month to make more apps. The apps made for you are yours, and you can download their code. Before an app goes live, an automatic check tests it against our Acceptable use rules. A person on our side looks at any app the check flags or someone reports. That can be after it's live. If something needs to change, we tell you what and why. We usually give you time to fix it. WishWhip is new and things may break, so don't rely on it where a mistake could hurt someone.

Who we are

WishWhip ("we", "us") makes small, single-purpose apps from a description. These terms are the agreement between you and us about using it. They are written to be read: if anything is unclear, email us (help@wishwhip.app) and ask.

WishWhip is new

We're letting people in a few at a time while we test WishWhip. Things will change, some days things will break, and we may pause building for a while to fix something. Your live apps stay online while we do.

If we ever stop running WishWhip, we'll email you at least 30 days before, so you can download the code of your apps.

Plans and payment

There is a Free plan and two monthly plans, Maker and Studio. Pricing says what each one includes and what it costs.

Dodo Payments sells the monthly plans for us and handles the payment, tax and receipts. You can cancel any time from Settings. Your plan carries on to the end of the month you paid for, and then it doesn't renew.

If we remove one of your apps or close your account, Money when we remove an app says what happens to your payment.

Your account

You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email address. Keep your sign-in to yourself: an account is for one person. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for what is made from your account.

What you ask us to make

You describe an app, and AI models make it and check that it works. What you describe, and everything in the apps made from it, must follow our Acceptable use rules. Don't put other people's private details in what you describe.

Checks before an app goes live

Every app is checked automatically against our rules: when you describe it, when you ask for a change, and again when it's built. A request that clearly breaks our rules is refused before anything is made. The check before it goes live is automated: an AI model decides whether a built app can go live, and no person looks at it first.

When that check finds a clear problem, the app can't go live. When it isn't sure, or can't run, the app can still go live, and a person on our side looks at it afterwards. A person on our side also reviews every app someone reports, and can ask for a change, pause an app or remove it after it's live.

When the check stops an app, or we ask for a change, we always say why and which rule it's about, and whether it was the automatic check that decided. If you think it got it wrong, reply to our email and a person looks again. Our checks are about our rules, not a promise that an app is correct, complete or safe for any particular use.

Monthly limits

Each month you can make a limited amount: new apps and changes to them both use part of it. It resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). WishWhip shows you what's left, and we may change the limits. There are also daily limits, so that no single account can overload WishWhip.

Your apps and their code

The apps made for you are yours. As far as we're able to, we give you the rights to the code we make for them. You can download the code of any of your apps, including one you deleted, and for 30 days after we remove one. When the code itself is the harm, such as a copied sign-in page, harmful software or illegal content, we don't offer it. Some code in every app comes from open source libraries under their own licenses, and those licenses still apply.

So that we can run WishWhip, you let us store what you describe, make and check your apps, host them, show them to the people on our side who review apps, and keep copies as our Privacy policy describes.

The people who use your apps

Anyone with an app's link can use it, without an account. You're responsible for what your app shows the people who use it, and for what it does with anything they enter. Don't use an app to collect passwords, payment details, health information or other sensitive details.

Pausing or removing an app

When an app breaks these terms or our Acceptable use rules, we follow the steps on that page. We can ask for a change while it stays live, pause it, take it out of the gallery, or remove it. We can also act on a report or a legal request we believe is credible, or when an app puts people or WishWhip at risk. When an app could hurt people, we may act before we write to you.

While an app is paused, the people who open it see a short page saying so, and it leaves the gallery until you show it there again. You keep its page, its code and every version. You can fix it with a change; a person on our side checks that change, and then the app comes back at the same link.

When we pause or remove your app, we email you the reason, unless the law or someone's safety means we can't. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email and a person looks again. Replying to us says what happens then.

We keep a copy of a removed app for 30 days, and in that time you can ask us to bring it back as it was. You can also download its code from its page for those 30 days. When the code itself is the harm, such as a copied sign-in page, harmful software or illegal content, we don't offer it. The people who open a removed app see that it's no longer available.

We remove an app straight away, without asking for a change or pausing it first, only for illegal content, harm to other people or abuse of WishWhip.

Time to fix an app

If we ask you to change an app that is already live, you have 7 days to do it, and the app stays live while you do. If you need longer, reply and ask, and you get 7 more days, once.

If we pause an app, you have 14 days to fix it before we would remove it, and you can ask for 7 more days in the same way. If we pause an app again for the same reason within 6 months, we may remove it instead.

A change we ask for doesn't count toward your month.

When the time is up, a person on our side decides what happens next; nothing happens on its own.

This is the same on every plan, Free included.

Replying to us

Reply to any email about a change we asked for, a pause or a removal, or email us (help@wishwhip.app). A person reads every reply, usually within a day, and tells you what we decided within 3 days.

If we pause an app while we check a report about it, we tell you what we found within 3 days.

You can reply up to 6 months after we remove an app. If we got it wrong, we undo what we did; within the 30 days we keep a removed app, we bring it back as it was.

Money when we remove an app

Removing one of your apps doesn't change your plan or what you paid. The rest of your month is still yours to use. Pausing one doesn't change them either.

If we got it wrong, we give back what the app used from your month. Within the 30 days we keep a removed app, we also bring it back as it was. If you ask, we also refund that month.

If we close a paid account, we refund the days of the month you haven't used. We don't if we closed it for illegal content, harm to other people or abuse of WishWhip. Either way, nothing renews after we close an account.

Refunds are made through Dodo Payments, which sold you the plan.

No guarantees

WishWhip and the apps it makes are provided as they are. They may have mistakes, stop working, or lose what was saved in them. Don't rely on them for anything where a mistake could hurt someone or cost serious money, such as medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, written or implied, including that WishWhip or any app is fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on what we owe

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, lost profits or lost data, and the most we owe you for any claim about WishWhip is 50 US dollars. Where the law does not allow a limit, that limit does not apply, and the rest of these terms still do.

Ending

You can stop using WishWhip at any time. To delete your account, email us (help@wishwhip.app) from its address; the Privacy policy says what happens to your data. Deleting your account takes all your apps offline.

We close an account only for illegal content, harm to other people or abuse of WishWhip, or after we remove 3 of your apps within 6 months. When we close one, we email you why, unless the law or someone's safety means we can't. Money when we remove an app says what happens to a payment then.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you before it applies, and say what changes and when. If you don't agree, you can stop using WishWhip before then and download the code of your apps. The date at the end of this page says when they last changed. Using WishWhip after a change applies means you accept it.
